DonJoy Sully Shoulder Support - Black - Large Review

I have had two previous surgeries on my left shoulder and I now require a third. Unfortunately, surgery at this time is not an option, which is why I chose to purchase a brace. I have had three SLAP tears, two dislocations, bicep tenodesis, etc... I'll just get to the point that this brace is excellent. Not only is it comfortable, it is effective. The brace is versatile, it comes with multiple straps so that you can configure it to your needs/injury to alleviate the pain. Athough my pain is not gone, this brace supports my injured shoulder enough to make it bearable. If you are looking for a good brace I highly recommend this one. I guess it is safe to assume that if you are reading this you are shopping around. I just wanted to give you some additional advice-not to purchase an OmoTrain brace. I purchased one and returned it because after six hours of wearing it my underarm was bruised and raw. Good luck and I hope this review helps.

I just received this in the mail today and tried it out during my afternoon nap... Wow! This infrared with jade stone therapeutic mat is unbelievable. I had it first set on 7 (out of 1-9) and after 30 minutes it was too hot, I then set it to 5 and that was still something to get used too. Later on this evening I will try it out on 1 and work my way up. After my hour long nap (short for me)I do feel something different pertaining to my back, it is not spasming as much right now. This beats hands down the normal 3 heating pads I used to use for my body all set on high. I could actually feel it penetrating deep inside as it claims. This product is not a light weight at 16 lbs. which is easily explained due to 429 round Jade Stones woven into it. The price makes this most likely the most expensive heat mat on the market at $600 with a list of $700 it is high, but very well worth any relief that you may get.
I was in an Airplane accident and have extensive injuries, total axial loading of my cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine along with a twice fractured pelvis and an right impinged rota-tor cuff shoulder. It seems that I am in a bind as no one wants to perform surgery on my 11 spinal discs... so this heat therapy is my next stab (lol) at trying to help ease the pain.
I did read the reviews on the smaller sized mats and it seems that there used to be a problem with the electrical cord to the controller, I believe that this issue has been redesigned and the one flaw remedied, as the one I received today (5/11/12) has a plastic screw on housing for the cord. The only thing that I could say that would be needed with this $600 mat is that there should be a cloth type of cover for it in flannel or a heavy terry cloth, that you could slip off and wash in the machine. The instructions tell you not to let bare skin be in contact with the mat.
My recommendation is to buy this if you can!
