Yeah, it's big. And it holds a lot of ink in the piston-fill reservoir, which is good because the broad italic nib is very bold, and writing with it is a little bit like shouting. I use it on crosswords just for the joy of flowing the ink onto the paper. Fit and appearance is up to expectations for the price--that is, jewel-like. I have always thought a $300 pen should be made of precious metal, like my Parker Sonnet, but I have to admit I've got a new favorite.
