The cooler is equipped with Oasis' patented WaterGuard system that will eliminate spills during bottle changes and reduces the chance for dust and dirt to enter the cooler reservoir. The hot water tank dispenses up to 45 6-Ounce cups of hot water per hour. It is a 1-1/2-quart storage tank. The hot water faucet is a self closing faucet that requires a two step action to protect small children. The water cooler electrical specifications are 115-Volt, 60 Hertz. Water cooler compressor is 1/20 hp. Three wire service cord and polarized plug is included.

I've had an Oasis cooler at home for more than a decade. My last cooler from the Oasis budget line served my family well for a long time dispensing a seemingly unlimited quantity of ice cold water. One day, when it finally went caput I turned to Amazon for a replacement. The Oasis Artesian line distinguishes itself with a stainless steel exterior and black accents. It's a lot classier than the previous white plastic model it replaced, but the stainless steel exterior may also be its primary fault.
This cooler is noticeably louder than the cooler its replacing. After further examination it appears as if the metal exterior resonates with the operation of the compressor. This may not be a problem for many and is not much louder than our refrigerator, but certainly a consideration when shopping for a cooler. With regards to noise there is also the clicking sound of a relay before and after the compressor activates - this sound wasn't present with my previous cooler. All-in-all, it's a very nice cooler that delivers ice cold water on demand and anticipate many years of continuous service.
