This program came highly recommended by my chiropractor. She did it herself and lost 20 pounds within the month (which was her total weight loss goal). I am all about simple, easy, don't have to think about it programs, and this is pretty easy.The first two days are your "loading" days. Where you eat as much fatty protein as you can (butter, fried chicken, cheese, eggs, bacon, etc) similar to the Atkins diet. Your goal is to gain at least 2 pounds over these two days. I am doing this through my chiropractor, and when I didn't gain 2 pounds those two days, she had me "load" a third day - I ended up gaining 4 pounds in those three days! Then you begin the actual program. I am on day 6 and have lost 4.5 (down from my original weight - so if you count those extra 4 that I gained, it would really be 8.5!) lbs so far. My goal is to lose 60 total. I'll be thrilled if I can get 30 off in this first phase.
My biggest adjustment so far is drinking all the water and counting calories. I like the fact that there is a short list of things I can actually eat. This makes meal planning really easy. If you are looking for a variety in your diet, this is not for you. If you're not so worried about variety, this diet is really easy. I basically am eating the same thing every day. Strawberries for breakfast, chicken over a salad for lunch, an apple for a snack, more chicken and steamed veggies for dinner. For water, you take your total current weight, divide it by 2 and drink that many ounces of water per day. For me that's 102 ounces. It's not as hard as I thought it would be.
A few things that made me comfortable with this program are that it includes everything in one box, include vitamins, minerals and a urine self test (IMPORTANT) so you can monitor your ketone level (your fat burning level - if it's too high, you can get sick).
A friends' daughter did the program and lost 40 pounds in a month - and that was HER total goal. We'll see how I do...

Part 2
I finished phase 1! Lost 20 pounds, have more energy and my herniated discs in my neck and back don't bother me anymore. It definitely takes discipline. I just kept focused on the goal. You definitely want to do this with doctor supervision. My ketone level got a little too high and I needed help getting back down a notch.
I start phase 2 tomorrow and am excited about the foods I'm able to add. I'm also excited to start exercising (never thought I'd say THAT!!!). Now that I don't feel so lethargic, I'm actually looking forward to going to the gym.
If you are SICK and TIRED of being fat, want to do something about it FOR GOOD and commit to eating healthy for the rest of your life, this is a great program.
