I bought this for long airplane flights. I have an older Macbook Pro (17") with a battery (according to coconut) of 80% of its design storage. Th real battery life is a couple hours, at best. So I bought the BIXpower, which may be just big enough for the draw (since my mac power adapter is rated at 85w, but the computer still charges full with a 60W brick).

Anyway: it works well. I plugged it into my Macbook Pro, and it kept the battery charged for a good 4 hours before it was exhausted.For a 7 hour flight, it meant I was powered the whole way, which makes the cost worth it for me.

I expect that as I use it, it will get a little better (doesn't seem to want to charge all the way the first few times - the manual says this is common, and goes away).

The battery looks quite slick, the cables that come with it are long and very high quality (better than the original Apple charging cables). And it works.
